Twitter finally came out of its shell to tell the world that its going to start advertising on its web site. It will be called "Promoted Tweets" like any other search engine marketing you can buy keywords like other conventional web sites use.
This is a good move on Twitters part. With all the users on board you must capitalize on some kind of revenue. Advertising is always a major player for adding revenue.
